A pizza business that spent five years selling through Instagram now has a front door on The Hill. Nicky Slices Pizza Club opened at 2240 Edwards St. in October 2025, St. Louis Public Radio reported.
According to the station, the shop held a soft opening and sold out of everything in a little over two hours.
From a weekly menu to a storefront
Nicky Slices is the project of chef Nick Williams, who grew up around the pizza business. His father ran a pizzeria in South City, and Williams studied journalism at the University of Missouri before working his way up in restaurant kitchens, including in New York.
St. Louis Magazine reported that Williams moved back to St. Louis in October 2020 and started making take-and-bake pizzas out of his sister’s basement. Customers ordered by direct message after he posted a weekly menu. By 2022, Feast Magazine described the business as a Detroit-style, take-and-bake operation that dropped a new menu every Monday evening and sold out quickly, with orders delivered at the end of the week. It had more than 10,000 Instagram followers at the time.
By the end of 2021, Williams told St. Louis Magazine, he realized he was not going back to New York and began looking for a space.
Slices, wings and a garage
Williams told St. Louis Magazine in July 2026 that the shop is “a classic slice joint,” where a slice is actually a half-pie, priced at $9 to $12. The menu also includes chicken wings and a cheesesteak-style item inspired by Angelo’s in Philadelphia. Seating is mostly at bar-height counters, with some outdoor seats, and a garage door out back opens for events. Williams told the magazine that lunch with quicker, more affordable true slices was in the works.
Before you go
The shop’s website lists dinner hours Wednesday through Saturday, with Sunday through Tuesday closed, and warns that closing times can change when the kitchen sells out. Its menus include pies such as the OG Pepperoni, the Philly and the Veg Head, and the business still offers take-and-bake ordering. DJs play from 4 to 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, according to the website.
