Herbaria

Herbaria is a St. Louis maker of handmade, cold-process soaps and natural skincare products scented with essential oils. Founder LaRee Gilberg started out selling soap at markets (one of the company’s photos shows her at a market booth with her sister in 2002). Today the business makes and sells its products from a storefront on Marconi Avenue on The Hill.

Beyond bar soap, the lineup includes shampoo and conditioner bars, bath bombs, deodorant, lip balm, moisturizers, bug repellent, dog-care products, laundry soap, candles, room sprays and gift sets. Everything is sold in the shop and through an online store that ships orders.

Visitors to the Marconi Avenue store can take a free tour of the soap-making operation. The shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
