Maven

Maven, which also goes by Maven Apothecary, is a bath, body and home fragrance shop that sells its own line of products in person and online. It is now located on The Hill at 2131 Marconi Avenue.

The shop stocks candles, bar soaps, lotions and balms, bath products, face and hair care, a men’s line, solid fragrances and sprays, therapy balms, incense, car and closet “Freshies,” and ready-made gift sets. St. Louis Magazine has reported that owner Kate Bethel started making bath and body products at home as a hobby before opening her own store. The magazine described the line as scented and all-natural.

Maven’s full catalog is sold through its online store, which makes it an easy source of gifts for people outside St. Louis. Store hours aren’t posted online, so check the shop’s website or call ahead before making a trip.
