Spanish tapas and St. Louis-style pizza on Shaw Avenue

Guido’s Pizzeria & Tapas calls itself “a taste of Spain in the middle of Italy.” It is a casual neighborhood spot on Shaw Avenue whose menu mixes Italian-American comfort food with Spanish small plates, using family recipes brought to St. Louis from Madrid.
On the Spanish side, the tapas calientes include boquerones and patatas bravas, and caramelized flan is a signature dessert. The Italian side offers homemade lasagna, chicken Siciliano, seafood ravioli, linguine with clams and toasted ravioli. The pizzas are thin, cracker-crust, St. Louis-style pies with Provel, and the Guido’s Deluxe is a common pick. There is also a wine list and a specials menu.
Guido’s is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and closed Mondays. Reservations are available through Tock, and takeout can be ordered online.
