About

Favazza’s on the Hill

Favazza’s on the Hill is a family-owned Italian restaurant on Southwest Avenue that has been open since 1978. It was started by Vito and Ellen Favazza and their son Tony, and is now run by Vito’s sons, John and Tony.

The menu sticks to old-world and St. Louis Italian standards: house pastas, tossed salads and red sauces, with dishes like spaghetti and meatballs, chicken prosciutto and calamari featured on the restaurant’s site. A wine list mixes Italian imports with local bottles.

The restaurant is large enough to seat about 300 and regularly hosts private parties and banquets; it also caters. Reservations, carryout ordering and the full menu are available online. Favazza’s is open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 9pm and is closed Sundays and Thanksgiving Day.
