Visitor info, history archive and genealogy help on Marconi Avenue

The Hill Neighborhood Center at 1935 Marconi Ave is a drop-in visitor and community hub for The Hill. Volunteers and staff help visitors find the neighborhood’s restaurants, shops, bakeries and landmarks. They hand out free neighborhood maps and event schedules, and bottled water is sold on site.
The center also preserves local history. It keeps a reference section on Italy and Italian immigration, plus a searchable archive of thousands of photos and news clippings about The Hill, which the neighborhood website suggests for student research. Artifacts and historic photos are on display, and a volunteer genealogy expert can help with family history. Work by local artisans is sold as gifts, and two meeting rooms are available to rent.
The center is open a few days a week (see hours), and the directory listing also offers visits by appointment.
