The Hill Food Co.
Delivery-only ghost kitchen housing a mix of restaurant brands
Formal Italian fine dining run by the Galati family since 1971

Dominic’s on the Hill is one of the neighborhood’s classic fine-dining Italian restaurants. Dominic and Jackie Galati bought the restaurant at Wilson and Hereford in 1971 and lived in the apartment upstairs. Dominic Galati has long run the kitchen. In January 1994, Condé Nast Traveler named Dominic’s one of the two best Italian restaurants in the country.
The menu sticks to Italian and Continental standards. A St. Louis Magazine review praised the antipasto freddo, cannelloni, fried calamari, Dover sole, veal Milanese and pappardelle alla Bolognese. The kitchen also serves spiedini, char-grilled scampi and cannoli, and there is an extensive wine list.
The dining room is dim and formal, with crystal, artwork and polished service. OpenTable lists the dress code as business casual. Reservations are taken through OpenTable, and there is a Tuesday-through-Friday happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m.
