Scarato family's Italian-Greek taverna, famed for toasted ravioli

Anthonino’s Taverna is a family-run restaurant at 2225 Macklind Avenue that cooks Italian and Greek dishes from scratch. Brothers Anthony and Rosario Scarato opened it in 2003; their father is Italian and their mother is from Greece, and the menu draws on both sides of the family.
The kitchen is best known for its toasted ravioli, filled with Angus beef and a house blend of cheeses and spices, which has been featured on Food Network and ships nationwide through Goldbelly. Guy Fieri spotlighted its dolmades, grape leaves stuffed with beef and lamb, on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The rest of the menu covers fresh pastas and hand-tossed pizzas, and the full bar pours cocktails and an Anthonino’s-branded beer.
The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 10pm and closed Sunday. Tables can be reserved online, pickup orders are taken through its website, and the restaurant also offers catering and gift cards.
