About

Vitale’s Bakery

Vitale’s Bakery is a traditional Italian neighborhood bakery at the corner of Marconi and Bischoff, decorated in green, red and white. Everything is baked on site.

The bakery is best known for its cannoli. It also makes large Italian loaves, muffuletta rolls, marble rye and other breads and rolls, plus cookies, pastries, cakes and cheesecakes. Its biscotti come in flavors such as rum raisin, chocolate and almond, and its snowball and butter pecan cookies make popular gifts.

Vitale’s is a walk-in counter shop. Riverfront Times reports that it is open on weekdays and takes cash or checks only. Feast Magazine has suggested its treats as a thank-you gift. Because hours are limited and payment is cash or check, it is worth calling ahead before a visit.
